Perplexed

This gives me a fuzzy feeling that I can’t explain. So dreamy…

When an introvert speaks

Turn it inside out so I can see
The part of you that’s drifting over me
And when I wake up you’re never there
But when I sleep you’re everywhere

Just tell me how I got this far
Tell me why you’re here and who you are
Because every time I look, you’re never here
And every time I sleep, you’re always there

Wrong Number

Back in the days
When cellphone
Can only text
Call and no internet
I made a mistake
I typed an angry text
“Go to hell with your new girl, can’t wait to call you my ex”
After I furiously hit send
I broke out in cold sweat
Damn it, wrong number
I wish I could unsend it
But what’s done is done
When my cellphone ring
I nearly threw it to the ceiling
When I answered
You say, “Hey, I happen to be looking for a new girl. So, You. Me. And hell? What do you say?”
You were such a nerd
But thanks to it
I moved on from my ex

Friends are Forever

Relationship takes time to blossom
Our friendship is the same
Life got in the way
And we lost contact for years

But fate is a mystery
Time has its way
By pure coincidence
We met again

We have good times
Missing years did not matter
Good friends are forever
Irreplaceable precious partners

Show Up

Funny but speaks the truth

richastic

the greatest and the only
piece of advice anyone
could ever offer you:
show up.
even when it feels
like you woke up
with no soul
or your clothes
fit ill or your
shoe’s been stolen
when your heart’s
in shreds
when you have to
meet a person you
dread
show up
when the weather is shit
and you did not study
for the test
when you fought with
a friend and hate the
rest
when there’s butterflies
in your stomach
and a vacuum in your
chest
and all your feelings
are on house arrest
show up
if not to prove
you are the bravest
show up because
every worst day
could still turn into
the best

The beginning

It was raining when our eyes first met
I was crossing the road
And you stood under the shed
Looking like a weather god

You looked good in your dry clothes
You had an umbrella in the hand
While I must have looked like a soaked cat
God, I never wanted to hide so bad

I steeled myself and join you in the shed
I shivered and hugged myself.
“Crappy weather,” I muttered
“I think it’s beautiful” you answered.

I looked up ready to fight
But you look at me
and smiled with pure innocence
My heart stopped beating for a second

“I think it’s beautiful” you repeated
Man, I wanted to punch your face
But then you stretch your arm
and dried my face with your handkerchief

“If it’s not for the rain, I will not see
this beauty here with me” you say.
I listened to the pelting rain
and closed my eyes. “You’re right.”

“It’s cold out here. Let me take you home”
I nod and smile. We shared your umbrella
even if there was no point.
It was our beginning under the magical rain

Starting new

For a true writer, each book should be a new beginning where he tries again for something that is beyond attainment. He should always try for something that has never been done or that others have tried and failed. Then sometimes, with great luck, he will succeed. ~ Ernest Hemingway

I’m not sure if I’m doing something that has never been done, but I’m sure I’m trying where others failed. I only hope that I would not fail too. If I need great luck then I’m still waiting for him to stumble at my feet and showers me with luck.
